Lauren's Letters!
"A billion stars!"
If I could give a billion stars to Lauren I would. She is the BEST in the business. She is caring, extremely detail-oriented, on top of EVERYTHING, and overall the best support you can have throughout the planning process and on your wedding day. I had no clue what I was doing when my husband and I first got engaged and the first time I spoke with Lauren on the phone she put me at ease. She is able to bring any vision that you may have to life. Her relationships with so many Chicago vendors helped the entire process go so smoothly. I keep telling my husband that a large part of my post-wedding blues is because I will miss working with Lauren so closely. If you are considering hiring her, DO IT. You will absolutely not regret it.
"Detail oriented!"
There should be an option for 6 stars so I can go above and beyond for Lauren like she does for her clients. Truly the most organized, professional, detail-oriented person, while also being so thoughtful, conscientious, and having such wonderful taste! Literally nothing that Lauren touched related my wedding went wrong, or could even have been improved upon. If I could give the gift of Lauren to all future brides I would. We did the middle package (between month of and full planning) but I can’t even imagine what more she could’ve done if we’d gotten full planning! No one should have a wedding without Lauren.
"Day went 110% Smoothly"
Lauren and her assistant Martha ensured my day went 110% smoothly. From the rehearsal to the end of the Wedding, Lauren was there to ensure all of my wants and needs were being met. I received multiple comments about my planning team, one of them coming from my married friends who said "I wish I had someone like her at my wedding." Lauren was able to easily command a room and gave amazing direction to my bridal party. On top of her talent, she has the sweetest personality and made me feel like a friend rather than a client. I would recommend Lauren and the rest of the S&B team today, tomorrow and the next day!
"Scheduled and organized!"
Lauren and her team are incredible! In the weeks leading up to my wedding she not only ensured that everything was on schedule and organized, she went above and beyond answering last-minute questions, adjusting the timeline several times, and responding quickly to last minute changes. She is organized and beyond professional - I received SO many compliments from my photographer and bridal party on how relaxed and stress-free my wedding day was. This is all thanks to Lauren and her team on their seamless hard work behind the scenes!

I really love and I am a fan of Lauren’s work! She combines an exquisite artistic taste for every detail with all the practical skills and knowledge of how to handle all wedding aspects, so professional always! She is a gifted wedding planner and deeply loves and enjoys what she does. Lauren knows how to make sure a bride feels taken care of and trust me I am a bit of a control freak and perfectionist. She went above and beyond! I feel that must be what makes the big magic of her weddings. Lauren is just amazing to work with!! I would recommend Lauren from S&B events for all your events
Meet LAUREN | Chicago, IL
Lauren was born and raised in Chicago, IL and is a Columbia College graduate with a degree in communications. Her background not only includes event planning but also project management and hospitality. Lauren lives in downtown Chicago with her husband, daughter, and energetic cocker spaniel.
She loves organizing and her strength is creating systems and procedures that establish order and clear communication. She thinks outside of the box when a solution is needed and always comes to the table ready to collaborate. She has designed and planned over 100 weddings and events where she brings these skills, along with her eye for design, to each. From the age of 9 Lauren was using her creativity to design parties, create party favors, and make elaborate centerpieces. That creativity and passion are still central to everything that Lauren does. She is dedicated to listening to her clients and making sure their vision comes to life. Bringing joy to her clients is her favorite part of the process.
